We have both spent many years working in IT and Financial Services for many familiar blue chip companies. In 2003 we decided to take some time out to enjoy life, on the basis that neither of us had had a gap year and it was long overdue!  After several months skiing in New Zealand and Canada, where we both qualified as ski instructors, we decided to try and make a living doing what we loved, in a place we could settle.  Having skied in many countries we decided on France and Chinaillon because of its beautiful scenery, proximity to Geneva, friendly locals and access to so much skiing.

We spent a lot of time in 2004 travelling to France and monitoring the renovations with the architect. As always there were delays and not everything was as it should have been when we arrived but that is another story! We finally got up and running for the 2005/6 season and have been adding to the chalet ever since.

We now divide our time between France and the UK, spending winters here is a real privilege and we love having family and friends out when we are quiet. We have taught our nephews and nieces to ski but still have a 3 year old and 1 year old to go. Ensuring that children enjoy the snow and have fun is crucial to help them learn to ski, once they get the hang of it there is no stopping them and then there is years fo fun to be had.
