Booking Conditions

These booking conditions for m the basis of your contract with Ilex Chalets (a family company wholly owned by Catherine Leeson and Keith Dowson), the owners of the Ferme de Florent. Please read them carefully as they set out our respective rights and obligations. In these booking conditions 'you' means the first named person on the booking (who must be at least 18) 'We' means Ilex Chalets.    

Making a booking and payment.   All bookings, including those made by phone are subject to these booking conditions. You must submit a completed and signed booking form accepting these conditions on behalf of all party members at the time of booking together with a deposit of €150 per person or the full holiday cost if booking within 10 weeks of departure. The balance of the holiday cost must be received by us no later than 10 weeks prior to departure. If payment is not received in full and on time we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled by you and apply the cancellation charges as set out under 'Cancellation' below. To enable you to agree holiday details with other members of your party we will normally hold your holiday as an option until close of business on the 3rd day when it will be automatically cancelled unless you have confirmed you booking with us. A binding contract comes into place when your deposit is received by us, this will be confirmed by e mail. This contract will be governed by English law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. You must check your confirmation e mail carefully to check that all details are correct as soon as you receive it you must let us know straight away if anything appears to be incorrect as it may not be possible to rectify matters at a later stage. We regret we cannot accept liability if we are not notified of any errors within 10 days of the date of our confirmatory e mail. The person making the booking must be at least 18 years of age and guarantee payment to us of the total holiday cost on behalf of and with the consent of, all persons for whom the booking is made

Cancellations Should you or any member(s) of the party need to cancel your holiday the first named person on the booking form must inform us by e mail immediately. Cancellation charges to compensate us for the risk we may be unable to sell your holiday will be payable as follows:

Please not that cancellation charges are calculated from the date of e mail notification.  

If we change or cancel your holiday It is unlikely we will have to do this and we will only do so in the case of a force majeure (i.e. any event that we could not, even with all due care, foresee or forestall such as war, riots, civil strife, natural disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, and all similar events). However, where a cancellation by Ilex chalets becomes necessary (other than due to nonpayment)  we will inform you as soon as is reasonably possible and refund all monies paid up to that date. 

Liabilities Should any member of your party suffer illness, injury or death as a result of any services provided by Ilex chalets or as a result of any failure or action by an employee of Ilex Chalets the laws and regulations of the country in which the illness, injury or death occurred will be used as the basis fro deciding liability. If the particular services which gave rise to the injury, illness or death complied with the local laws and regulations applicable to those services at the time of the injury, illness or death, the services will be treated as having been properly performed. This will be the case even if the services did not comply with the laws and regulations of the UK which would have applied had those services been applied in the UK. Where you suffer by misadventure, illness, personal injury or death as a result of an activity which does not form part of your holiday arrangements we will advise and assist as much as reasonable possible. 

Special requests and medical problems If you, or any member of your party has a medical problem or disability which may affect your holiday please tell us before you confirm your booking so that we can ensure suitable arrangements are made. Any special requests must be notified to us at the time of booking and clearly noted on the booking form. We will confirm to you, via the booking confirmation e mail, all special requests catered for in relation to your holiday. 

Breakages and damages  You are responsible for any breakages, losses or damages caused during your stay and it is your responsibility either to pt right the damage or make full payment to Ilex Chalets before your departure.

Local safety standards and suppliers conditions  Please not that it is the requirements and standards which apply in France which apply to services supplied by Ilex Chalets and not those of the UK.          

Prices We reserve the right to increase or decrease our prices and correct errors at any time. The current price will be advised to you at time of booking. Once your holiday is booked, i.e. the deposit has been paid, we guarantee the price will not change.
