During the summer we offer rooms on a bed and breakfast basis as you will want to see the local area and enjoy the warm summer evenings. However, if you would like us to arrange a meal or barbeque we are happy to do so, please just discuss this with us when booking or ask us when you are with us. We will do all we can to help you enjoy your stay.

The mountains are a hive of activity in the summer when the sun shines and the air is clear and clean. The tour de France is passing our chalet on its route through Chinaillon, on the Col de Colombiere, on the 20th July. The area attracts cyclists all summer for both mountain and road cycling as it offers beautiful scenery and routes as testing as you like.

Le Grand Bornand is one of the worlds premier Paraponting locations and the ski lifts take you to the top of Lachat with landing available in fields some 20 yards distance.

Walking is also popular and well catered for in the area.  There are many marked walks ranging in difficulty from strolls with the family to scrambles up steep scree slopes.

There is a lovely large open air pool in Le Grand Bornand there is no excuse for gaining any extra pounds, despite the excellent local food.

Any of these activities including climbing horse rising and guided walks and cycling treks can be arranged for you, please just let us know when you book.  There are also many arranged activities and fairs during the summer to keep young and old entertained, simply visit the Grand Bornand website  to see what is happening while you are in the area.

While you are with us we would recommend a visit to Annecy, a beautiful medieval town set around a stunning lake. With boat tours round the lake, plenty of wonderful shops and cafes, museums and galleries it is a must visit.  Geneva and Lyons are also within an easy drive for a day out and Italy is only an hour away via the Mont Blanc tunnel.

However, if you decide to just spend your days relaxing, enjoying the sunshine,  clean mountain air and great local food and wine you will return from your holiday fully rested and ready to resume life as normal.

Prices in summer are 300 Euros per person per week on a bed and breakfast basis in July and August.  Other times are 200 Euros per person per week (Outside the ski season!).
