Only 30 km from Annecy (train station) - By car, take the Annecy North exit on the A41, and follow the road to Thônes / Les Aravis

Only 150 km from Lyon (St Exupery Airport) - By car take the A43 motorway to Chambery, then the A41 to Annecy. Then follow the road to Thônes / Les Aravis 

From Geneva airport follow the green motorway signs for France (motorway signs are blue in France and green in Switzerland) along a dual carriageway.

At the 6th (approximately) set of lights turn left - signposted to France, Lousanne and Geneva centre

Very soon (50 yards) after these lights there is a right hand turn signposted to France, Geneva, La Pralle (E25)

Continue along this road through several tunnels including the Vernier and Chevres tunnel

When the road divides stay in the left hand lane for France. If in doubt follow signs for France and Annecy until youare through the border control  

When you come to the Swiss/ France border if you have a hire car you can simply drive through. If you are in your own car they may want to check your travel documents.

After the border control take the left hand lane for the A40 to Annemasse, but DO NOT come off the motorway at Annemasse.

Come off the A40 at Bonneville (toll e1.60) follow signs for Le Grand Bornand, Petit Bornand and La Cluzas. Routes through Bonneville vary but these places are always signposted and you will go through St Pierre D'Aucigny.

At the T junction in St Pierre D'Aucigny turn left and at the next turn right, whatever you do keep following the signs to Le Grand Bornand, Petit Bornand and La Cluzas.

You will follow a windy road up hill through Saxias, Petit Bornand and Entrement.

At the next T junction turn left for Le Grand Bornand (NOT La Cluzas)

Follow this road into Le Grand Bornand and at the first roundabout turn left for Chinaillon

When you reach the village of Chinaillon continue until you meet the one way system, this will make you turn right off the high street.

Follow the road past the ski lifts on your right, our chalet is now in front of you  at the top of this road on a hill. 

After the shops the road turns left, just before this take the small road on your right as if you are going straight on.  Follow this roadas it curves to the right.

At the fork take the right hand fork, we are a couple of hundred yards down here, directly opposite Le Solaret restaurant. 

Parking is on the right of our chalet. The door in to the ski room is on the ground floor nearest you, leave your bags there and come up to the lounge on the top floor. We should be there!

Please note the route through Bonneville and St Pierre D'Aucigny is changed fairly regularly but follow the signs and if in doubt, ring us or ask a passer by for Grand Bornand.
